Pumpkin Themed Styled Shoot at The Old Cow Shed, Melton Mowbray

A styled shoot is essentially where a bunch of creatives, whether that be from the wedding industry or another, get together and create some beautiful imagery to share on their socials etc to display their business in their full majestic beauty…..

On this particular shoot, we were all taking creative direction from Hannah and Rebecca (owners of Oh Snap Uk and Rebecca Emily Photography.

The shoot took place at the Old Cow Shed in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire and was the second time I had worked there. I just love its rustic/farm and slightly “alternative” venue as it fits in with me being an alternative makeup artist. It really does have an edgy feeling to it with its iconic “Holy Cow” neon light in the main barn (I’m a sucker for a neon light!).

Nothing quite says Autumn like reds and golds, and of course pumpkins… so its no surprise that these all played important roles in this shoot!

From the stationary to the brides dresses, to the styling of the tables and not forgetting the flowers used in decorating the room and used in the flower crown were all heavily influenced by the time of the year, even the makeup created with its statement plum toned lipstick which was gifted to me by luxurious brand It Cosmetics( check out my gifted products I received on my blog. Pumpkins were also laid down at the end of each bench leading down to the alter.

The bride and groom used for the shoot were real life and completely smitten in love couple, Roland and Marilyn which enabled us to create an authentic love story to the shoot.

The most quirky addition to the shoot was Florence the newly renovated VW camper van which doubles up as an alternative version of a Photo Booth… props included! (available from Ohsnapuk)

The mouth watering cake was two tiered with two separate flavours; Victoria sponge and salted caramel and you can imagine the excitement of the team when we able to tuck in after we had wrapped! Hand on heart, it was sensational!

The bespoke wedding dresses were hand on heart one of my favourite parts of the day, they made me so giddy. they were absolutely stunning!

Every single element of this styled shoot was executed perfectly and was a pleasure to be a part of.

I absolutely loved adding these shots into my portfolio and we had the added bonus of the shoot being added to the prestigious Unconventional Wedding Blog which are amazing for any couples, newly engaged and looking for some “non conventional’ wedding inspo!
